REPRESENTIN' is a blog of the Youth & Media group, part of the Temple Youth VOICES Summer Academy 2008. The participants of the program learn to critically analyze and evaluate media texts in the context of their daily lives. They also produce their own media that question and address representations of themselves and their communities that they encounter in mainstream culture.

sterotypes
i feel as though there are many stereotypes such as when a african american walk in the store a clerk assumes you want chicken!
